It’s a fact: the summer of 2011 will officially go down as the wettest since 1906. And now the days are getting shorter and autumn is making its presence felt. All the more reason then to make sure you are well prepared against the flu.
Year-long protection
If you get a timely flu jab you will be protected against the flu for a whole year, effectively reducing the likelihood that you’ll have to stay home sick by approximately 80 per cent. And should you be unlucky enough to still get the flu it will be less serious and you’ll recover quicker.
Who is the flu jab for?
Everyone who wants to avoid getting the flu is welcome at our KLM Travel Clinic. And if you belong to a risk group your family doctor will tell you all about the flu jab.
When can you get your flu jab?
You can drop by for your flu jab any time during our opening hours. What’s more, you will not have to make a prior appointment.
How much does the flu jab cost?
The flu jab costs €24.95 (which includes the consultation cost).
What exactly is the flu?
The flu is caused by the influenza virus. Within a few hours of getting the flu you’ll feel very poorly. The symptoms include: headache, muscle ache, shivering, coughing and a fever. But if you do feel poorly it need not necessarily be the flu; colds and gastroenteritis, for example, are caused by different viruses to the influenza virus.
The flu jab and your company
If you’d like to protect your employees from the flu and thus avoid flu-related absenteeism, KLM Travel Clinic offers companies the possibility of vaccinating employees on location. This will save you both travelling time and lost working hours. We’ll be more than happy to give you a quote, tailored to your needs, for vaccinating your employees on location.
If you’d like to receive more information about the flu jab, or if you’d like to arrange the vaccination of your employees on location, send an email to klmtravelclinic@klm.com. You can also call us at: 020 - 649 77 24.
