Compulsory identification!
Starting from 1 June 2009 we are mandatorily obliged by the government to register you by what's known as your BSN (Citizen Service Number). You should therefore always bring valid identification with you, such as a passport, identity card, driver's license or alien registration document. And if you have children bring their health insurance card along with you too.
